⌚ MB&F Horological Machines: value and history

Horological Machines are the unconventional watches of MB&F, a brand founded in Geneva in 2005 by Maximilian Büsser. The first, Horological Machine No.1, appeared in 2007, and the brand has since released more than ten of them. The HM4 Thunderbolt won Best Concept and Design Watch at the GPHG in 2010. The videos in this group show the HM12 The Guardian and the HM8 Mark 2 Blue.

A traditional wristwatch has a relatively straightforward role: to tell the time. All that is needed is a hand for the hours, another for the minutes and perhaps a power reserve indicator to keep track of running time. Horological Machine N°4 Thunderbolt has a hand for the hours, another for the minutes and a power reserve indicator. HM4 Thunderbolt tells the time. But HM4 Thunderbolt is not a traditional wristwatch.
